The Journal is written at kids aimed 12 and over. However, there have been kids as young as 9 years old use the journal with their parents.

There have even been parents report that they have got more out of it than there kids!

The Journal is written from the perspective of several evidence based approaches to Sport Psychology.

Much of the journal uses an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Framework which has a large amount of evidence supporting it's efficacy.

Other areas of the Journal lean on psychology research that backs the practice of Mindfulness, Exposure Therapy, Reflection, Growth Mindset, Gratitude, Goal Setting etc.

Everything in the Journal is included for a reason. If you have any further questions about the merits of what is included in the Journal then please contact me to discuss zane@flowsport.co.nz. I am always keen to talk science :)

Allow around 2-3 working days for shipping.

Maybe! I am wanting to gauge interest in this before going through the cost of publishing etc. If you are interested in a similar sort of thing for adults. Then please let me know: zane@flowsport.co.nz

Yes! Lot's of coaches have got the Mental Toughness Journal for their team or club.

It means you can dedicate some time to working on Mental Skills and the kids can have a tangible resource to work through. And to practice those skills at home!

The reflection page is also a great template to have a discussion and review a previous performance.

I'm afraid not. Although that would be nice and easy, the point of Journal is for people to write in with Pen and Paper.

Why? Because this means you are away from your phone or other electronic distraction devices.

True reflection, deep focus and thinking requires people to be free of devices that cause distraction.

That is why the book is in 'old school' format!

Occasionally I may be available to give a talk on Mental Toughness to your team, club or school.

Some schools have found that it is easier to get me on Zoom to go through an introduction to Mental Toughness.

Please contact zane@flowsport.co.nz if you want to discuss the possibility of this.

The current edition of the Mental Toughness Journal was printed in New Zealand.

It was also designed in New Zealand

And obviously written in New Zealand, by myself!

So in effect, when you buy the Journal, you basically supporting three New Zealand businesses!
